• Can a wired desk phone headset be used with a cell phone?

  Any Sennheiser Office & Contact Center headset model with an "Easy Disconnect" can be used to connect to a cell phone by utilizing a "bottom cable" with a 3.5mm connection.

  Sennheiser offers two (2) "bottom cables" with a 3.5mm connection which are:

  • CBB 01 (plain cable)
  • CMB 01 CTRL (cable with integrated call control)

  NOTE: Sennheiser models with the "Easy Disconnect" include:

  • SC 630 (single sided)
  • SC 660 (dual sided)
  • CC 510 (single sided)
  • CC 520 (dual sided)
  • CC 540 (dual sided)

• Can a wired desk phone headset be used with a USB connection?

  Any Sennheiser Office & Contact Center headset model with an "Easy Disconnect" can be used to connect to a USB port by utilizing a "bottom cable" with a USB connection.

  Sennheiser offers two (2) "bottom cables" with a USB connection which are:

  • USB-ED01 (plain cable with a USB connection)
  • UUSB8 (cable with integrated control and USB connection)

• What is a "bottom cable"?

  Sennheiser Wired Telecom Headsets are designed as a modular two part solution so in addition to the headset a separate "bottom cable" is required in order to connect to a phone or other device.

  The headset has a cable that ends in a "easy disconnect" which is a proprietary connection. To connect to a phone or device you will need a "bottom cable" which on one end is the "easy disconnect" and on the other end is the connection for the phone or other device.
